Thanks Tammy! I totally hope it doesn’t!! Day after New Year’s and she’s still going backwards, though rocking on all fours a LOT more. It’s going to be any day now.
Yeah! Heh heh heh. I like how you think… If I don’t see it, it doesn’t count! LOL!
Anyway, we couldn’t stop her from trying yesterday morning and evening… She was/is determined to get this under her belt. She still collapses from the weight of her butt, but I know it’ll change soon enough. I still say New Year’s Eve.
Kellie, I know that Teagan did things at day care first, and I loved that they didn’t tell us. All the caregivers would let us tell them the new and exciting thing she did, never letting us know she may have done that already while they had her. The “new” day care, I’m not sure will be as conscientious.
I totally believe that if we don’t see it, it didn’t happen :D
How awesome that your hubby got to see! It only half counts if you weren’t there too! :)
I am okay with Leon seeing it 1st. I see her do it everyday & am enjoying watching her walk better with each day. I just find it funny that the 2 hrs. I am not with her she does it…lol! =D
Lisa – Jonathan took forever to go from that rocking and going backwards stage to actual crawling. I was really glad that he didn’t really walk until he was 18 months (although he was cruising the furniture).
Vicky, Teagan didn’t rock too too long before she got moving forward, which is why I thought Ashlin would be moving forward by now. Then again, she spent a few days being held and bounced, as well as stuck in a car seat, so we may have pushed her forward motion back a few days :)
She can take as long as she wants to move. I like her to stay where I left her :D

I think it will be more like xmas day!
The way she’s going? Maybe. But she was going backwards. LOL!
merry christmas!! Love you all.
Merry Christmas to you all too! Miss you!
By the way, Ashlin got her foot out. She may be moving forward by evening! Napping now, recuperating from all the present excitement.
It was awesome!
So did she crawl or say mama for xmas?
No :(
She’s still trying to crawl, but isn’t even attempting to say mama.
It counts a bit. It counts more when Stu takes video and the most when Mama sees it! My 2ยข. But still all around exciting!!

I missed our 1 yr. old taking her 1st steps. She did during their Christmas party in the nursery at church. Her dad was there though. =D
