What to muse about today?

Lookie what Teagan and I made today!

With glitter!

Sssshhhhhh! We made a sun catcher Christmas tree for LaLa for her birthday.

Teagan had a lot of fun making it. So much that she really wanted to make another one, but I had only cut enough paper for one. So during her nap, I cut stuff for a second, and we made one for NayNay.

I still have to cover Renee’s and cut it out. Teagan and I put moons on it, and a special hidden surprise. Maybe she’ll find it!

We had fun!

Wow, yay! That’s fantastic. Instructions please! Not that I have much hope for my minimalist but we can try.

It was great seeing you today… Although you said G isn’t in to doing crafts – and his ornament sort of showed that – this was pretty easy, and involves nothing more than dropping!

I saw it on Alphamom – http://alphamom.com/family-fun/holidays/christmas-tree-sun-catchers/ – and totally stole the idea. So, just some construction paper, little bits of punched paper or hole punch holes in color, clear contact paper and a bit of glitter. The hardest part is getting the contact paper just right. Of the three I made, only one doesn’t have a crease in it :D

I plan on trying this idea for Valentines Day – I have a big heart template I could cut out and have her fill with small punch hearts and red and white hole punch holes… With glitter. Of course!

  2. Very cool! You do so much with Teagan. I aspire to be a crafty mom like you! Btw… I nominated you for a Versatile Blogger Award. Check out my latest post. =)

Wow. I’m a “crafty mom?” Cool. I hadn’t really thought I was, just try to fill some time in the day to help avoid possible tantrums that the 2.5 year old is prone to when bored. And I’m happy when they turn out nice. These were so easy, and Teagan had so much fun, I’m sure I’ll be adapting the idea for future holidays…

And thanks for the nomination! I haven’t been nominated for anything before. Wow. Thanks!
