What to muse about today?

So, I found out today that my daughter is a bully.  I’m heartbroken.  I never thought I’d raise a bully.

Stu found out last week – told me today – that the piglet’s been crawling up to other babies and taking their pacifiers at day care.  She’s a thug!

For the past month, since we moved and switched her to the new day care, we stopped sending her with a pacifier.  Generally, we only use them at nap or bed time.  Trying to slowly just stop them all together, but it works, it’s ok for now :)  So, we thought she had been doing great dealing with a nap without her pacifier.  Becoming such a big girl. <sigh>  Well, I guess she hasn’t been doing as well as we thought.

We’re going to need to pay more attention – I don’t want her to be a bully.

“ohhhh… please don’t be so hard on yourself. (HUG) Obviously she still needs the comfort of her pacifier and she will leave the other babies alone. And all will be right in the world again. : )”

Yeah, we could send her with her pacifier, that might solove the bullying problem for now. We’ve never really let her use the pacifier, but I guess the comfort has gotten a bit more entrenched than we thought. Since we’ve moved, as well, we don’t let her have it often at all during the day. She just doesn’t have anyone to beat up here to get another one :)

I’m more concerned about her taking someone elses things, about starting down that “bully” path, not that she’s attached to her pacifier.

I guess some of the sarcasm didn’t come through :D It does seem quite an aggressive behavior, but still sort of cute in a way. Day care didn’t seem to be too troubled about it, but then again, they mentioned it to Stu and not me… hum… maybe there’s something else to worry about now :)
