What to muse about today?

Yesterday was Teagan’s Baptism.  Big party, lots of friends, family and cake.  The weather behaved, sunny and warm after all the rain the day before.  Fantastic Godparents – my sister and Wendy (not a couple!) – both came out the day before.  So grateful for such wonderful people in our baby’s life.

Teagan was great all day.  Happy and cheerful even though she has an ear infection and hasn’t been sleeping well for most of the week.  Dressed in the same lace outfit that both my sister and I were baptized in, with the cap that my dad (and probably his brothers and sister too) was baptized in… She barely fit!

She was the oldest baby of the three that were baptized as well, laughing and just being good during the ceremony.  The only one that didn’t cry!  It even seemed like she was looking for her bath when the deacon poured the water over her head.  She likes baths :)

This was our first big party, aside from the wedding.  A bit of work getting everything together, but worth it.  Everyone said it was a nice party with (a lot of) good food.  We decorated the church hall and had it there, there was no way that 40 people would have fit in my house.  So nice that the logistics of the day, and the clean up, are over!  Stu and I slept well last night!

“She looks so precious! How special that she was able to wear the same outfit used throughout the generations. : )”

Lori, thanks! We were worried that she’d be too much of a piglet to fit – it was a little tight as it was!

    We missed you!!

“Congratulations on the baptism!! Teagan looked beuatiful in her christening gown!”

Thanks!! I’m so glad that mom saved the gown, and was able to get it looking fantastic! She said it took her an hour to iron it!
